12	12	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
13	13	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
14	14	3 represented in the General Assembly:
15	15	4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
16	16	5 Potawatomi Land Transfer Task Force Act.
17	17	6 Section 2. Purpose. The purpose of the Potawatomi Land
18	18	7 Transfer Task Force is to ensure the rights of the Illinois
19	19	8 citizens living on the land transferred to the Prairie Band
20	20	9 Potawatomi Tribe under Senate Bill 867 of the 103rd General
21	21	10 Assembly are protected.
22	22	11 Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
23	23	12 "Department" means the Department of Natural Resources.
24	24	13 "Director" means the Director of Natural Resources.
25	25	14 "Task Force" means the Potawatomi Land Transfer Task
26	26	15 Force.
27	27	16 Section 10. Duties; members.
28	28	17 (a) The Task Force shall determine the agreements that

177	177	1 Section 15. Administration. The Department shall provide
178	178	2 administrative support to the Task Force.
179	179	3 Section 20. Report. On or before December 31, 2030, the
180	180	4 Task Force shall prepare a comprehensive report that
181	181	5 summarizes its work. The report shall include provisions which
182	182	6 must be adopted by both the Prairie Band Potawatomi Tribe and
183	183	7 the State of Illinois in a land management agreement pursuant
184	184	8 to Section 3b of the State Parks Act.
185	185	9 Section 25. Land Transfer Requirement. The land transfer
186	186	10 specified in Senate Bill 867 shall not be made until the Task
187	187	11 Force has completed its final report and its recommendations
188	188	12 are adopted by both the Prairie Band Potawatomi Tribe and the
189	189	13 Department of Natural Resources in an official land management
190	190	14 agreement pursuant to Section 3b of the State Parks Act.
191	191	15 Section 30. Dissolution. The Task Force shall be dissolved
192	192	16 upon completion of the land transfer specified under Senate
193	193	17 Bill 867 of the 103rd General Assembly or if the land transfer
194	194	18 is rescinded or overturned.
195	195	19 Section 35. If and only if Senate Bill 867 of the 103rd
196	196	20 General Assembly becomes law, then "An Act concerning State
