1111 1 AN ACT concerning State government.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
1515 5 Community-Based Organization TRUST Act.
1616 6 Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
1717 7 "Citizenship or immigration status" means all matters
1818 8 regarding citizenship of the United States or any other
1919 9 country or the authority to reside in or otherwise be present
2020 10 in the United States.
2121 11 "Community-based organization" means a private
2222 12 not-for-profit organization that is located in a community in
2323 13 this State and that provides services to citizens in that
2424 14 community and the surrounding area.
2525 15 "Contact information" means home address, work address,
2626 16 telephone number, electronic mail address, social media
2727 17 information, or any other personal identifying information
2828 18 that could be used as a means to contact an individual.
2929 19 "Immigration agent" means an agent of federal Immigration
3030 20 and Customs Enforcement, federal Customs and Border
3131 21 Protection, or any similar or successor agency.

7474 8 Section 15. Enforcement. The Attorney General shall
7575 9 enforce the provisions of this Act. In order to ensure
7676 10 compliance with this Act, the Attorney General may maintain an
7777 11 action for declaratory, injunctive, or any other equitable
7878 12 relief in circuit court against any community-based
7979 13 organization that violates any provision of this Act.
8080 14 Section 20. Rulemaking. The Attorney General may adopt
8181 15 rules to administer and enforce this Act.
