11	11	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
15	15	5 Community-Based Organization TRUST Act.
16	16	6 Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
17	17	7 "Citizenship or immigration status" means all matters
18	18	8 regarding citizenship of the United States or any other
19	19	9 country or the authority to reside in or otherwise be present
20	20	10 in the United States.
21	21	11 "Community-based organization" means a private
22	22	12 not-for-profit organization that is located in a community in
23	23	13 this State and that provides services to citizens in that
24	24	14 community and the surrounding area.
25	25	15 "Contact information" means home address, work address,
26	26	16 telephone number, electronic mail address, social media
27	27	17 information, or any other personal identifying information
28	28	18 that could be used as a means to contact an individual.
29	29	19 "Immigration agent" means an agent of federal Immigration
30	30	20 and Customs Enforcement, federal Customs and Border
31	31	21 Protection, or any similar or successor agency.

70	70	4 appropriation from this State shall not provide contact
71	71	5 information or information concerning citizenship or
72	72	6 immigration status in response to any immigration agent's
73	73	7 inquiry or request for information regarding any individual.
74	74	8 Section 15. Enforcement. The Attorney General shall
75	75	9 enforce the provisions of this Act. In order to ensure
76	76	10 compliance with this Act, the Attorney General may maintain an
77	77	11 action for declaratory, injunctive, or any other equitable
78	78	12 relief in circuit court against any community-based
79	79	13 organization that violates any provision of this Act.
80	80	14 Section 20. Rulemaking. The Attorney General may adopt
81	81	15 rules to administer and enforce this Act.
