4	4	2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
5	5	3 Representatives wish to congratulate the American Business
6	6	4 Club of Springfield on the occasion of its 100th anniversary;
7	7	5 and
8	8	6 WHEREAS, The American Business Club of Springfield is a
9	9	7 not-for-profit organization tied to National AMBUCS, Inc.,
10	10	8 where all members are dedicated to inspiring mobility and
11	11	9 independence for people with disabilities; and
12	12	10 WHEREAS, The American Business Club of Springfield is the
13	13	11 largest AMBUCS chapter in the nation, consisting of 300
14	14	12 individuals; and
15	15	13 WHEREAS, The American Business Club of Springfield has
16	16	14 operated the concessions at the Illinois State Fair Grandstand
17	17	15 since 1954, and the organization has also managed admissions
18	18	16 and parking for the Illinois State Fair since 2004; and
19	19	17 WHEREAS, Through its relationship with the State of
20	20	18 Illinois and other fundraising efforts, the American Business
21	21	19 Club of Springfield has dedicated tens of thousands of hours
22	22	20 of community service and donated over $5,000,000 towards
23	23	21 providing Amtrykes to children, adults, and veterans, endowing

32	32	1 scholarships for therapists, awarding grants to dozens of
33	33	2 local community organizations, and providing support to
34	34	3 numerous other deserving projects at the local, state, and
35	35	4 national level; and
36	36	5 WHEREAS, The American Business Club of Springfield,
37	37	6 chartered on January 10, 1925, will be celebrating its l00th
38	38	7 year on January 10, 2025; therefore, be it
39	39	8 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
40	40	9 HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
41	41	10 we congratulate the American Business Club of Springfield on
42	42	11 the occasion of its 100th anniversary, and we commend the
43	43	12 organization for its accomplishments, unequaled charitable
44	44	13 giving, and the selfless contributions of its members; and be
