12 | 12 | | 10 leaders, thinkers, and public servants; she majored in |

13 | 13 | | 11 speech/public address and language arts at Oklahoma City |

14 | 14 | | 12 University; she later earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and |

15 | 15 | | 13 Instruction and Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in |

16 | 16 | | 14 1972, becoming one of the few Black women of her time to earn a |
