44 2 WHEREAS, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are
55 3 food and nutrition experts who can translate the science of
66 4 nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living; and
77 5 WHEREAS, RDNs have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public
88 6 health, or a related field from well-respected, accredited
99 7 colleges and universities, have completed an internship, and
1010 8 have passed an examination; and
1111 9 WHEREAS, RDNs use their nutrition expertise to help
1212 10 individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes; and
1313 11 WHEREAS, RDNs work throughout the community in hospitals,
1414 12 schools, public health clinics, nursing homes, fitness
1515 13 centers, universities, research, private practice, food
1616 14 management, and the food industry; and
1717 15 WHEREAS, RDNs are advocates for advancing the nutritional
1818 16 status of Americans and people around the world; therefore, be
1919 17 it
2020 18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
2121 19 HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2222 20 we declare March 12, 2025 as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

3232 2 RESOLVED, That we encourage all citizens to recognize the

3535 5 promoting science-based nutrition in the hope of achieving
3636 6 optimum health for both today and tomorrow.
