1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy
4 Mae Roberson; and
5 WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberson led a career at Andrew Carnegie
6 Elementary School spanning 35 years, where her unwavering
7 commitment, vast expertise, and nurturing spirit made a
8 profound impact on the lives of countless students and
9 colleagues, leaving a lasting legacy in education; and
10 WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberson devoted herself to and possessed
11 an immeasurable love for her family, friends, and community,
12 embodying the true essence of compassion, grace, and
13 dedication; and
14 WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberson's elegance, humor, and radiant
15 personality made her a pillar of strength, a positive role
16 model, and a beacon of light to all who knew her; and
17 WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberson's memory, wisdom, and the
18 lessons she imparted will live on through those who loved her
19 and continue to inspire generations to come; and
20 WHEREAS, Dorothy Roberson, a beloved mother, dear friend,

1 and cherished member of her community, will forever be
2 remembered for her legacy of love, kindness, and strength;
3 therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
5 HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6 we mourn the passing of Dorothy Mae Roberson and extend our
7 sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
8 and loved her; and be it further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of Dorothy Roberson as an expression
11 of our deepest sympathy.
