311 1 AN ACT concerning local government.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
6-4 Section 5. The Local Records Act is amended by adding
7-5 Section 30 as follows:
8-6 (50 ILCS 205/30 new)
9-7 Sec. 30. Contracts of $5,000,000 or more.
10-8 (a) A municipality must compile and maintain a list of
11-9 each contract it enters into for $5,000,000 or more for public
12-10 infrastructure projects. The list shall be available for
13-11 public inspection or copying and on the municipality's
14-12 website.
15-13 (b) A home rule municipality may not compile or maintain a
16-14 list of contracts it enters into for $5,000,000 or more in a
17-15 manner that is inconsistent with this Section. This Section is
18-16 a limitation under subsection (i) of Section 6 of Article VII
19-17 of the Illinois Constitution on the concurrent exercise by
20-18 home rule units of powers and functions exercised by the
21-19 State.
