18 | 18 | | 8 Sec. 605-1118. Child care center rebate. For State fiscal |

19 | 19 | | 9 years beginning on or after July 1, 2025, subject to |

20 | 20 | | 10 appropriation, the Department shall establish a property tax |

21 | 21 | | 11 rebate program. The program shall allow licensed, |
---|
22 | 22 | | 12 not-for-profit child care centers that were obligated to pay |
---|
23 | 23 | | 13 property taxes to a unit of local government or special |
---|
24 | 24 | | 14 district in the State in the property tax collection year that |
---|
25 | 25 | | 15 ends on December 31 of the immediately preceding calendar year |
---|
26 | 26 | | 16 to apply to the Department for a rebate of those taxes. The |
---|
27 | 27 | | 17 Department shall adopt rules for the implementation of this |
---|
28 | 28 | | 18 Section. |
