11	11	1 AN ACT concerning local government.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Airport Authorities Act is amended by
15	15	5 changing Section 6 as follows:
16	16	6 (70 ILCS 5/6) (from Ch. 15 1/2, par. 68.6)
17	17	7 Sec. 6. Powers of the board, first meeting, by-laws, etc.
18	18	8 The Board of Commissioners of an Authority shall possess and
19	19	9 exercise all of its legislative and executive powers. Within
20	20	10 thirty days after the appointment of the initial
21	21	11 commissioners, the board shall meet and elect a chairman. It
22	22	12 shall then also select a secretary, treasurer and such
23	23	13 officers or employees as it deems expedient or necessary for
24	24	14 the accomplishment of its corporate objects, none of whom need
25	25	15 be a member of the board. The board at said meeting by
26	26	16 ordinance shall define the first and subsequent fiscal years
27	27	17 of the Authority, and shall adopt a corporate seal and
28	28	18 by-laws, which shall determine the times for the annual
29	29	19 election of officers and of other regular and special meetings
30	30	20 of the board, and shall contain the rules for the transaction
31	31	21 of other business of the Authority and for amending such
32	32	22 by-laws.
