11	11	1 AN ACT concerning elections.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
15	15	5 Section 1-9.1 as follows:

17	17	7 Sec. 1-9.1. Ballot counting information dissemination.
18	18	8 (a) Each election authority shall maintain maintaining a
19	19	9 website and shall must provide 24-hour notice on its website
20	20	10 of the date, time, and location of the analysis, processing,
21	21	11 and counting of all ballot forms. Each election authority
22	22	12 shall must notify any political party or pollwatcher of the
23	23	13 same information 24 hours before the count begins if such
24	24	14 political party or pollwatcher has requested to be notified.
25	25	15 Notification may be by electronic mail at the address provided
26	26	16 by the requester.
27	27	17 (b) Each election authority shall update the election
28	28	18 results on its website each time a new batch of votes is
29	29	19 tabulated or every 12 hours, whichever is less. Each election
30	30	20 authority shall also update on its website, every 12 hours,
