12	12	1 AN ACT concerning education.
13	13	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
14	14	3 represented in the General Assembly:
15	15	4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
16	16	5 adding Section 7j as follows:

18	18	7 Sec. 7j. Chancellor advocacy. The chancellor of any campus
19	19	8 of the University shall advocate for what is beneficial and in
20	20	9 the best interests of that campus if it interferes with what is
21	21	10 beneficial and in the best interests of the university system
22	22	11 as a whole.
23	23	12 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
24	24	13 Act is amended by adding Section 8j as follows:
