1111 1 AN ACT concerning government.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Illinois Police Training Act is amended by
1515 5 changing Section 10 as follows:
1616 6 (50 ILCS 705/10) (from Ch. 85, par. 510)
1717 7 Sec. 10. The Board may make, amend and rescind such rules
1818 8 and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the
1919 9 provisions of this Act, including those relating to the annual
2020 10 certification of retired law enforcement officers qualified
2121 11 under federal law to carry a concealed weapon. The Board may
2222 12 not charge retired law enforcement officers more than $30
2323 13 annually to complete the annual certification. A copy of all
2424 14 rules and regulations and amendments or rescissions thereof
2525 15 shall be filed with the Secretary of State within a reasonable
2626 16 time after their adoption. The schools certified by the Board
2727 17 and participating in the training program may dismiss from the
2828 18 school any trainee prior to the officer's completion of the
2929 19 course, if in the opinion of the person in charge of the
3030 20 training school, the trainee is unable or unwilling to
3131 21 satisfactorily complete the prescribed course of training.
3232 22 The Board shall adopt emergency rules to administer this
3333 23 Act in accordance with Section 5-45 of the Illinois
