8 | 16 | | 6 Section 5. Definitions. In this Act: |
---|
9 | 17 | | 7 "Court" means an open space on a lot, other than a yard or |
---|
10 | 18 | | 8 portion of a yard, that is unobstructed from its lowest level |
---|
11 | 19 | | 9 to the sky and bounded, in whole or part, by abutting property |
---|
12 | 20 | | 10 lines, exterior building walls or other enclosing devices. |
---|
13 | 21 | | 11 "Low-sloped roof" mean roof with a slope of less than 2 |
---|
14 | 22 | | 12 units vertical in 12 units horizontal (17% slope). |
---|
15 | 23 | | 13 "Parapet" means a barrier that extends upward from the |
---|
16 | 24 | | 14 edge of a structure, such as a roof, balcony, walkway, or |
---|
17 | 25 | | 15 terrace. |

18 | 26 | | 16 "Shaft" means a continuous vertical space substantially |

19 | 27 | | 17 enclosed on all sides that extends for 2 or more floors, |

20 | 28 | | 18 including, but not limited to, an elevator shaft, a |

21 | 29 | | 19 ventilation shaft, a stairwell, or a service shaft. |

38 | 72 | | 6 combination thereof that meets the requirements of Section |

44 | | - | 12 block, or polycarbonate plastic that is designed and |
---|
45 | | - | 13 constructed to withstand a minimum dynamic load test |
