 2025 and 2026 SB1752 Introduced 2/5/2025, by Sen. Javier L. Cervantes SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: 40 ILCS 5/8-207.1 new Amends the Chicago Municipal Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that the board of the fund has the power to have any records kept by the board photographed, microfilmed, or digitally or electronically reproduced in accordance with the Local Records Act. Provides that the photographs, microfilm, and digital and electronic reproductions shall be deemed original records and documents for all purposes, including introduction in evidence before all courts and administrative agencies. 1  AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
2  Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3  represented in the General Assembly:
4  Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding
5  Section 8-207.1 as follows:
6  (40 ILCS 5/8-207.1 new)
7  Sec. 8-207.1. To reproduce records. To have any records
8  kept by the board photographed, microfilmed, or digitally or
9  electronically reproduced in accordance with the Local Records
10  Act. The photographs, microfilm, and digital and electronic
11  reproductions shall be deemed original records and documents
12  for all purposes, including introduction in evidence before
13  all courts and administrative agencies.
