14	14	1 AN ACT concerning education.
15	15	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
16	16	3 represented in the General Assembly:
17	17	4 Section 1. This Act may be referred to as the Reverend
18	18	5 Jesse Jackson, Sr. Young Voter Empowerment Law.
19	19	6 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
20	20	7 10-20.88 and 34-18.88 as follows:
21	21	8 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.88 new)
22	22	9 Sec. 10-20.88. High school voter registration. Beginning
23	23	10 with the 2025-2026 school year, a school district maintaining
24	24	11 any of grades 9 through 12 shall provide all eligible students
25	25	12 graduating from high school with the opportunity to register
26	26	13 to vote.

28	28	15 Sec. 34-18.88. High school voter registration. Beginning
