11	11	1 AN ACT concerning business.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business
15	15	5 Practices Act is amended by adding Section 2HHHH as follows:
16	16	6 (815 ILCS 505/2HHHH new)
17	17	7 Sec. 2HHHH. Warnings on generative artificial intelligence
18	18	8 systems.
19	19	9 (a) As used in this section:
20	20	10 "Artificial intelligence" means a machine-based system
21	21	11 that, for explicit or implicit objectives, infers, from the
22	22	12 input it receives, how to generate outputs, such as
23	23	13 predictions, content, recommendations, or decisions that can
24	24	14 influence physical or virtual environments. "Artificial
25	25	15 intelligence" includes generative artificial intelligence.
26	26	16 "Generative artificial intelligence" means an automated
27	27	17 computing system that, when provided with human prompts,
28	28	18 descriptions, or queries, can produce outputs that simulate
29	29	19 human-produced content, including, but not limited to, the
30	30	20 following:
31	31	21 (1) textual outputs, such as short answers, essays,
32	32	22 poetry, or longer compositions or answers;
