11	11	1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Funeral Directors and Embalmers Licensing
15	15	5 Code is amended by adding Section 15-33 as follows:
16	16	6 (225 ILCS 41/15-33 new)
17	17	7 Sec. 15-33. Exceptions to unlicensed practice.
18	18	8 (a) A license is not required under this Code for an organ
19	19	9 procurement organization or its authorized representative to
20	20	10 transport a deceased human body if the organ procurement
21	21	11 organization is:
22	22	12 (1) certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
23	23	13 Services;
24	24	14 (2) transporting the deceased human body for the
25	25	15 purposes of organ or tissue donation;
26	26	16 (3) transporting the deceased human body within the
27	27	17 viable time frame for organ or tissue donation; and
28	28	18 (4) under the supervision of a licensed funeral
29	29	19 director.
30	30	20 (b) Any organ procurement organization or its authorized
31	31	21 representative that transports a deceased human body under
32	32	22 this Section shall employ or contract with a funeral director
33	33	23 licensed in this State to supervise and train its authorized
