1111 1 AN ACT concerning finance.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Build Illinois Bond Act is amended by
1515 5 changing Section 4 as follows:
1616 6 (30 ILCS 425/4) (from Ch. 127, par. 2804)
1717 7 Sec. 4. Purposes of Bonds. Bonds shall be issued for the
1818 8 following purposes and in the approximate amounts as set forth
1919 9 below:
2020 10 (a) $4,741,094,533 for the expenses of issuance and sale
2121 11 of Bonds, including bond discounts, and for planning,
2222 12 engineering, acquisition, construction, reconstruction,
2323 13 development, improvement, demolition, and extension of the
2424 14 public infrastructure in the State of Illinois, including: the
2525 15 making of loans or grants to local governments for waste
2626 16 disposal systems, water and sewer line extensions and water
2727 17 distribution and purification facilities, rail or air or water
2828 18 port improvements, gas and electric utility extensions,
2929 19 publicly owned industrial and commercial sites, buildings used

3131 21 infrastructure capital improvements; the making of loans or

124124 21 properties for the purpose of expanding employment and
125125 22 encouraging private and other public sector investment in the
126126 23 economy of Illinois; the payment of expenses associated with
127127 24 siting the Superconducting Super Collider Particle Accelerator
128128 25 in Illinois and with its acquisition, construction,
