8	8	1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.
9	9	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
10	10	3 represented in the General Assembly:
11	11	4 Section 5. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much of that sum as
12	12	5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
13	13	6 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
14	14	7 for grants to community-based organizations, nonprofit
15	15	8 entities, community colleges, private and public universities,
16	16	9 and other organizations as deemed appropriate by the
17	17	10 Department for purposes of administering preapprenticeship
18	18	11 workforce development programs that support education and
19	19	12 training programming targeted to individuals under the age of
20	20	13 18 who reside in underserved areas, as that term is defined
21	21	14 under the Economic Development for a Growing Economy Tax
22	22	15 Credit Act, in the areas of computer and information sciences,
23	23	16 information technology, information sciences, computer
24	24	17 sciences, computer systems networking and telecommunications,
25	25	18 computer and information systems security or information
26	26	19 assurances, management information systems, and other similar
27	27	20 fields.
28	28	21 Section 10. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much of that sum
