4	4	2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
5	5	3 to learn of the death of Aaron LaShawn Pittman-Teague, who
6	6	4 passed away on January 6, 2025; and
7	7	5 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague was born to Josephine L.
8	8	6 Teague and Aaron L. Pittman in Kankakee on October 23, 1995; he
9	9	7 was raised in the Bourbonnais area; he completed his
10	10	8 elementary and high school education in Kankakee and
11	11	9 Marseilles, where he excelled in sports, particularly
12	12	10 wrestling and football; he graduated from Ottawa Township High
13	13	11 School and pursued higher education at Illinois Valley
14	14	12 Community College; he later returned to Bourbonnais; he
15	15	13 married his wife, Melissa, in 2023, and he embraced the role of
16	16	14 bonus dad to her daughter, Emery; and
17	17	15 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague began working as a full-time
18	18	16 temporary highway maintainer for the Illinois Department of
19	19	17 Transportation (IDOT) in November 2023; he also served such
20	20	18 organizations as DHL and the Illinois Department of
21	21	19 Corrections; throughout his professional career, he was noted
22	22	20 for demonstrating a remarkable work ethic; and
23	23	21 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague was a passionate music
24	24	22 enthusiast and dedicated much of his time to his studio,

33	33	1 managing artists and recording his own music; his work as a
34	34	2 creative sound engineer earned him credits in various films,
35	35	3 and he owned a label in partnership with Universal Records;
36	36	4 and
37	37	5 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague was deeply involved in his
38	38	6 community, coaching youth basketball and sharing his love for
39	39	7 sports and fishing with those around him; and
40	40	8 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague, often referred to as a
41	41	9 "gentle giant", was known for his kindness, humor, and
42	42	10 generosity; he will be remembered for his infectious energy
43	43	11 and his passion for family; and
44	44	12 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague's tragic loss deeply
45	45	13 saddened the entire team of IDOT, as all IDOT workers in the
46	46	14 field share a bond as they selflessly strive to keep the public
47	47	15 safe; and
48	48	16 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague was preceded in death by his
49	49	17 great-grandmother, Rosie L. Teague, and his grandmother,
50	50	18 Waneda Pittman; and
51	51	19 WHEREAS, Aaron Pittman-Teague is survived by his wife,
52	52	20 Melissa; his stepdaughter, Emery; his parents; his
53	53	21 grandmother, Ruthel Teague; his siblings, Zaida Teague-Calvin,

68	68	5 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
69	69	6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
70	70	7 Aaron LaShawn Pittman-Teague and extend our sincere
71	71	8 condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
