99 7 years, attracting visitors from across the nation and

1111 9 WHEREAS, Recent discussions regarding the potential
1212 10 renaming of Starved Rock State Park have raised concerns among
1313 11 residents and local businesses regarding the impact such a
1414 12 change could have on local communities' identities and the
1515 13 tourism industry; and
1616 14 WHEREAS, It is crucial for the General Assembly to
1717 15 reaffirm its support for maintaining the name Starved Rock
1818 16 State Park and emphasize its significance to the local
1919 17 community's brand identity and cultural heritage; therefore,

2121 19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
