5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Ralph Vernon Froehling of Canton, who |

7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Ralph Froehling, the son of Arthur and Julia |

8 | 8 | | 6 (Wilkenning) Froehling, was born in Harvey on October 5, 1928; |
---|
9 | 9 | | 7 he graduated from Cissna Park High School; he enlisted in the |
---|
10 | 10 | | 8 U.S. Army, serving from 1946 to 1948; with funding from the |
---|
11 | 11 | | 9 G.I. Bill, he attended the University of Illinois and was |
---|
12 | 12 | | 10 accepted into the University of Illinois Law School, earning |
---|
13 | 13 | | 11 his Juris Doctor in 1952; he married Jean Millington at Wesley |
---|
14 | 14 | | 12 United Church in Canton on January 27, 1952; he was recalled to |
---|
15 | 15 | | 13 active duty during the Korean War and served in the Advocate |
---|
16 | 16 | | 14 General Department of the Army; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | 15 WHEREAS, Ralph Froehling began his legal practice in Oak |
---|
18 | 18 | | 16 Park and then practiced law in Galesburg; he joined the |
---|
19 | 19 | | 17 Chiperfield Law Firm in Canton in 1956; attorneys Ron Weber |
---|
20 | 20 | | 18 and Nancy Schell became partners years later, and the firm is |
---|
21 | 21 | | 19 currently known as Froehling, Weber & Schell; and |
---|
22 | 22 | | 20 WHEREAS, Ralph Froehling was recognized as Senior |
---|
23 | 23 | | 21 Counselor by the Illinois Bar Association in 2002; and |

37 | 37 | | 6 WHEREAS, Ralph Froehling was preceded in death by his |

38 | 38 | | 7 brother, Harold, and his sister, Alice; and |

39 | 39 | | 8 WHEREAS, Ralph Froehling is survived by his wife, Jean; |

40 | 40 | | 9 his sons, Alan Froehling, John Froehling, and David Froehling; |

41 | 41 | | 10 his daughter, Lynn (Brian) Martie; eight grandchildren; 12 |

42 | 42 | | 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, |

43 | 43 | | 12 great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it |
