Bunch, who passed away on 4 December 3, 2024; and 5 WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch was born to Robert and Goldie 6 (Painter) Bunch on January 17, 1936; he served in the U.S. Army 7 National Guard; he married Ruth A. Squires in Springfield on 8 November 8, 1953; and 9 WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch worked as a superintendent with the 10 Springfield Department of Public Health, retiring after 30 11 years of service; and 12 WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch served on the Sangamon County Board 13 for 46 years and was the longest serving member of that board 14 and the longest serving county board member in the State of 15 Illinois; he also served on the Comptroller's Merit Commission 16 for six years; and 17 WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch was a member of St. Patrick's Church 18 and the Eagles Club; he was active with Walk Through the Park 19 for St. Martin de Porres for 20 years and Friend-In-Deed for 15 20 years; in addition, he was a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish 21 Foundation and the Cancer Relay Walk for Life; therefore, be SR0098 LRB104 12073 ECR 22170 r SR0098- 2 -LRB104 12073 ECR 22170 r SR0098 - 2 - LRB104 12073 ECR 22170 r SR0098 - 2 - LRB104 12073 ECR 22170 r 1 it 2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 4 Clyde E.
