| 4 | 4 | | 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |

| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Gary Thomas Marschke, Supervisor of |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 DuPage Township, who passed away on March 9, 2025; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Gary Marschke was born on January 22, 1946; he |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 6 served in the U.S. Navy; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 WHEREAS, Gary Marschke, a resident of DuPage Township |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 since 1987, was elected as Supervisor of DuPage Township in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 April 2021; he served his community with unwavering integrity |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 and compassion, particularly dedicating himself to the seniors |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 at the Levy Center and envisioning a new food pantry to support |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 those in need; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Gary Marschke also served the DuPage Township |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 Democratic Organization, where he worked tirelessly to ensure |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 the organization remained committed to providing service for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 all; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 WHEREAS, Gary Marschke's legacy will live on through his |

| 20 | 20 | | 18 steadfast dedication to service; and |
