| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Lonzo Greenwood was elected to the East St. Louis |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 School District #189 Board of Education in 1997 and has |

| 9 | 9 | | 7 continued his service through April of 2025; he served as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 board president from November of 1997 to May 2, 2017, the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 longest serving board president in consecutive years, and he |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 served as the board's vice president from April 30, 2019 to May |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 4, 2021; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 WHEREAS, Lonzo Greenwood served as the East St. Louis |

| 15 | 15 | | 13 Democratic Central Committee Chairman from 2012 to 2018; and |

| 16 | 16 | | 14 WHEREAS, Lonzo Greenwood has also held various positions |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 in local, county, and state government; and |

| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, Lonzo Greenwood graduated from St. Louis |

| 19 | 19 | | 17 University Law School and is an attorney by trade; therefore, |
