5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Barbara Ann Madsen of Peoria, formerly |

6 | 6 | | 4 of Jacksonville, who passed away on March 14, 2025; and |

7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Barbara Madsen was born in Chicago to Glenn and |
---|
8 | 8 | | 6 Grace (Fry) Patterson on November 23, 1932; she married Myron |
---|
9 | 9 | | 7 C. "Mike" Madsen on October 4, 1952; and |
---|
10 | 10 | | 8 WHEREAS, Barbara Madsen was a coordinator for an exchange |
---|
11 | 11 | | 9 student program, and her open arms extended not only to the |
---|
12 | 12 | | 10 family and communities she loved but also to the lives of eight |
---|
13 | 13 | | 11 foreign exchange students she and her husband hosted in their |
---|
14 | 14 | | 12 home, as well as the many dogs they fostered and loved; and |
---|
15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Barbara Madsen was a longtime member of Grace |
---|
16 | 16 | | 14 United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and then a member of |
---|
17 | 17 | | 15 Vineyard Church in Peoria; she was also a member of Beta Sigma |
---|
18 | 18 | | 16 Phi and had been very active in Scouting; she served as the |
---|
19 | 19 | | 17 president of Two Rivers Girl Scout Council; and |
---|
20 | 20 | | 18 WHEREAS, Barbara Madsen was preceded in death by her |

21 | 21 | | 19 husband, Mike; and |
---|
22 | 22 | | 20 WHEREAS, Barbara Madsen is survived by her children, Steve |
