2828 A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning human services.
2929 Whereas, the General Assembly supports and encourages the
3030 continued funding of the scholarship program established by the office
3131 of the secretary of family and social services to provide assistance to
3232 families for before school and after school care or early childhood
3333 education known as the Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Program.
3434 Therefore,
3535 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
3636 1 SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] (a) As used in this
3737 2 SECTION, "office of the secretary" refers to the office of the
3838 3 secretary of family and social services established by IC 12-8-1.5-1,
3939 4 its offices, or divisions.
4040 5 (b) The state board of finance may transfer money among funds
4141 6 or otherwise transfer, assign, or reassign any appropriation,
4242 7 appropriations, or a part of an appropriation or appropriations to
4343 8 the office of the secretary for the scholarship program established
4444 9 by the office of the secretary to provide assistance to families for
4545 10 before school and after school care or early childhood education
4646 11 known as the Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Program to enable

4848 1 the office of the secretary to continue to provide assistance to
4949 2 families.
5050 3 (c) This SECTION expires July 1, 2024.
