Summary of Legislation: This bill repeals the requirement that a public school or a state accredited
nonpublic school develop an initial three-year strategic and continuous school improvement and achievement
plan. The bill removes language referencing school improvement and achievement plans.
Effective Date:  July 1, 2024.

Explanation of Local Expenditures: Beginning in FY 2025, this bill repeals a requirement for public
schools to develop and annually review an initial three-year strategic and continuous school improvement
and achievement plan. This represents a workload decrease for public schools.
