34 | 34 | | 15 Whereas, During the consideration of legislative business, |

35 | 35 | | 16 each House may, in the respective judgment of the Speaker of |

36 | 36 | | 17 the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of |
---|
37 | 37 | | 18 the Senate, deem it necessary to adjourn and recess for periods |

38 | 38 | | 19 in excess of three (3) consecutive days and to operate on a |
---|
39 | 39 | | 20 schedule different from the other House; |

40 | 40 | | 21 Whereas, Article 4, Section 10 of the Constitution of the State |

41 | 41 | | 22 of Indiana states that neither House shall, without the consent |

42 | 42 | | 23 of the other, adjourn for more than three (3) consecutive days; |

43 | 43 | | 24 Whereas, Each House desires to consent to any adjournment |

54 | 54 | | 8 SECTION 1. That each House of the 123rd Indiana General |

55 | 55 | | 9 Assembly hereby consents to any adjournment or recess of the |

56 | 56 | | 10 other House during the Second Regular Session of the 123rd |

57 | 57 | | 11 Indiana General Assembly for a period in excess of three (3) |

58 | 58 | | 12 days, where such recess or adjournment is approved, in the case |

59 | 59 | | 13 of the Senate, by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, or, |
