| 23 | 23 | | 9 Whereas, The program is a partnership between the Indiana |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 10 Arts Commission and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor; |

| 25 | 25 | | 11 Whereas, The participating officials are Lieutenant Governor |

| 26 | 26 | | 12 Suzanne Crouch, Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner, |

| 27 | 27 | | 13 State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla, Chief Justice Loretta Rush, |

| 29 | 29 | | 15 Whereas, Female artists living in Indiana are encouraged to |

| 30 | 30 | | 16 submit artwork for display in the office of a female public |

| 32 | 32 | | 18 Whereas, Hundreds of artists around the state of Indiana |

| 33 | 33 | | 19 submit their artwork each year, showcasing extraordinary |

| 35 | 35 | | 21 Whereas, The program proudly lifts up Hoosier women artists |

| 36 | 36 | | 22 and uses the offices throughout the historic Statehouse and |

| 37 | 37 | | 23 Governor's Residence to display the work of Indiana artists for |

| 38 | 38 | | 24 the thousands of groups, school children, and visitors who tour |

| 44 | 44 | | 5 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes |

| 46 | 46 | | 7 during the 2024 Hoosier Women Artists awards ceremony at |

| 47 | 47 | | 8 the Indiana Statehouse on February 1, 2024. |
