RESOLUTION No. ____
1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating Altrusa
2 International of Muncie, Indiana, Inc., on its 100th anniversary.
3 Whereas, Altrusa International of Muncie, Indiana, Inc., is
4 one of the 289 Altrusa clubs in the United States, Canada,
5 Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Ireland, and India;
6 Whereas, From 2021 to 2023, Altrusa International of
7 Muncie, Indiana, Inc., provided over 1,500 hours of service to
8 literacy projects and donated over 167,000 books to children in
9 Muncie and Delaware counties;
10 Whereas, For the past 36 years, the club has sponsored an
11 annual community-wide fourth grade essay contest;
12 Whereas, The club has partnered with multiple community
13 groups, such as Muncie Community Schools, Second Harvest
14 Food Bank, The Soup Kitchen of Muncie, and Classroom
15 Connections of East Central Indiana to provide service to
16 women, children, and families;
17 Whereas, The club has many members who have served as
18 leaders on Altrusa District and International Boards and
19 Committees; and
20 Whereas, Members of Altrusa International of Muncie,
21 Indiana, Inc., have worked diligently to serve those in need in
22 their community, and they are known as the "Leaders in
23 Service" throughout Delaware County, Altrusa District 6, and
24 Altrusa International for their hard work: Therefore,

1 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
2 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
3 the Senate concurring:
4 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly
5 congratulates Altrusa International of Muncie, Indiana, Inc., on
6 its 100th anniversary.
7 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
8 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to State
9 Representative Sue Errington for distribution.
