| 11 | 11 | | 5 call of a distressed woman who was trapped in her vehicle in |

| 12 | 12 | | 6 rapidly rising flood waters; |

| 13 | 13 | | 7 Whereas, Being within a mile of the location when the 911 |

| 14 | 14 | | 8 call was first dispatched, Deputy Holt arrived on the scene to |

| 15 | 15 | | 9 find the woman still trapped with the water level up to her neck; |

| 16 | 16 | | 10 Whereas, Without hesitation, Deputy Holt quickly jumped |

| 17 | 17 | | 11 into the water to initiate the rescue, and he soon was able to |

| 18 | 18 | | 12 safely extract her from the vehicle; |

| 19 | 19 | | 13 Whereas, Fellow deputies, Seymour police, and other first |

| 25 | 25 | | 4 Whereas, Thanks to Deputy Holt's quick actions and |

| 26 | 26 | | 5 unwavering dedication to helping his community, on-duty and |

| 27 | 27 | | 6 off-duty, he was able to save the woman's life: Therefore, |

| 28 | 28 | | 7 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the |
