1445 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
15-SECTION 1. IC 5-2-26 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS
16-A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY

20-Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "law enforcement agency" has
21-the meaning set forth in IC 5-2-17-2.
22-Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, "law enforcement officer" has
23-the meaning set forth in IC 5-2-1-2.
24-Sec. 3. As used in this chapter, "motor vehicle" has the meaning
25-set forth in IC 9-13-2-105.
26-Sec. 4. (a) On or before July 1, 2026, each law enforcement

73+10 (b) A law enforcement officer or law enforcement agency is
74+11 immune from civil or criminal liability for failing to comply with
75+12 protocols established under this section, unless the noncompliance
76+13 constitutes gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct.
