| 34 | 34 | | 5 Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "Project Lifesaver" means the |

| 35 | 35 | | 6 community based, public safety, nonprofit organization that |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 7 provides: |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 8 (1) law enforcement agencies; |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 9 (2) fire and rescue agencies; and |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 10 (3) caregivers; |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 11 with a program designed to protect and locate an individual with |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 12 a cognitive disorder who is prone to wandering behavior. |

| 42 | 42 | | 13 Sec. 2. Not later than January 1, 2026, a county shall establish |

| 43 | 43 | | 14 and maintain its own Project Lifesaver program. |

| 44 | 44 | | 15 Sec. 3. The county fiscal body of a county shall appropriate and |

| 45 | 45 | | 16 approve the money necessary for the county to comply with this |
