Synopsis: Study of beer and wine distributors. Urges the legislative
council to assign to the interim study committee on public policy the
tasks of: (1) studying beer and wine distribution in Indiana; and (2)
making recommendations to provide parity in the laws and
administrative rules applicable to beer and wine distributors.
Effective: Upon passage.

HOUSE BILL No. 1378
A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning alcohol and tobacco.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
1 SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] (a) The legislative
2 council is urged to assign to the interim study committee on public
3 policy established by IC 2-5-1.3-4(15) during the 2025 legislative
4 interim the tasks of:
5 (1) studying beer and wine distribution in Indiana; and
6 (2) making recommendations to provide parity in the laws
7 and administrative rules applicable to beer and wine
8 distributors.
9 (b) This SECTION expires January 1, 2026.
10 SECTION 2. An emergency is declared for this act.
