55 | 45 | | 8 (1) purchase equipment used to process rape kits; |

56 | 46 | | 9 (2) process rape kits; |

57 | 47 | | 10 (3) hire staff; |

58 | 48 | | 11 (4) provide competitive wages for employees; and |

59 | 49 | | 12 (5) pay costs associated with streamlining the processing of |
---|
60 | 50 | | 13 rape kits. |

61 | 51 | | 14 (c) The fund shall be administered by the state police |

62 | 52 | | 15 department. |
---|
63 | 53 | | 16 (d) The fund consists of: |

64 | 54 | | 17 (1) money deposited in the fund under subsection (f); |

66 | 56 | | 1 (2) grants; and |

68 | 58 | | 3 (e) The expenses of administering the fund shall be paid from |

70 | 60 | | 5 (f) The treasurer of state shall invest money in the fund not |
