HOUSE BILL No. 1532 A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning gaming. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: 1 SECTION 1. IC 4-38-5-5, AS ADDED BY P.L.293-2019, 2 SECTION 43, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE 3 JULY 1, 2025]: Sec. 5. A certificate holder or vendor may not accept 4 wagers on the following: 5 (1) High school and other amateur youth sporting events. 6 (2) A sporting event that has not been approved for sports 7 wagering by the commission. 8 (3) The outcome of an election. 9 SECTION 2. IC 4-38-5-13 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE 10 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 11 1, 2025]: Sec. 13. (a) This section does not apply to the 12 advertisement of sports wagering pursuant to a contract that was 13 entered into before July 1, 2025. 14 (b) A certificate holder may not advertise sports wagering in 15 Indiana. 16 (c) If a certificate holder violates subsection (b), the commission 17 shall: 2025 IN 1532—LS 7545/DI 107 2 1 (1) impose a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000) for the first 2 offense; 3 (2) impose a fine of two thousand five hundred dollars 4 ($2,500) for the second offense; and 5 (3) impose a fine of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for a third 6 offense and revoke the certificate of the certificate holder to 7 conduct sports wagering. 2025 IN 1532—LS 7545/DI 107
