| 18 | 18 | | 4 Fishers Fire Department after 14 years of service; |

| 19 | 19 | | 5 Whereas, Chief Orusa has worked in law enforcement and |

| 20 | 20 | | 6 fire service positions for 40 years; |

| 21 | 21 | | 7 Whereas, He joined the Fishers Fire Department in May |

| 22 | 22 | | 8 2011, and prior to becoming Fishers fire chief, he helped lead |

| 23 | 23 | | 9 the planning operation for Super Bowl XLVI that Indianapolis |

| 24 | 24 | | 10 hosted in 2012; |

| 25 | 25 | | 11 Whereas, During his tenure, he was instrumental in adding |

| 26 | 26 | | 12 emergency services and a paramedicine program to the fire |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | 13 department, and he also assisted in the creation of the Fishers |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 14 Health Department during the COVID-19 pandemic; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 15 Whereas, Chief Steven Orusa has selflessly served his |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 16 community through a career in public safety that has spanned |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 17 over four decades: Therefore, |

| 32 | 32 | | 18 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives |

| 33 | 33 | | 19 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, |
