1 A HOUSE RESOLUTION recognizing the National
2 Association of Women Business Owners.
3 Whereas, The National Association of Women Business
4 Owners (NAWBO) is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025;
5 Whereas, Since its founding in 1975, NAWBO has been a
6 powerful voice for women business owners, ensuring
7 representation at the highest levels of decision-making and
8 advocating on bipartisan issues crucial to the community;
9 Whereas, NAWBO stands as the only dues-based

1 organization advocating tirelessly for the interests of women
2 entrepreneurs across all industries with chapters spanning the
3 nation;
4 Whereas, NAWBO has been instrumental in propelling
5 women business owners into greater economic, social, and
6 political spheres of power, locally and globally;
7 Whereas, The community of NAWBO nationwide offers
8 unparalleled understanding, encouragement, ideas, and
9 celebration to women at every stage of their entrepreneurial
10 journey;
11 Whereas, NAWBO's mission to strengthen the
12 wealth-creating capacity of its members, promote economic
13 development, foster innovative change, and build strategic
14 alliances has profoundly impacted the business culture; and
15 Whereas, The Indianapolis chapter of NAWBO plans to
16 celebrate the organization's 50th anniversary on March 13,
17 2025, at the Statehouse: Therefore,
18 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
19 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
20 SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
21 recognizes the work of the National Association of Women
22 Business Owners and celebrates its 50th anniversary.
23 SECTION 2. That the Indiana House of Representatives
24 recognizes NAWBO Indianapolis Day at the Statehouse on
25 March 13, 2025.
26 SECTION 3. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
27 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to State
28 Representative Julie McGuire for distribution.
