1 A HOUSE RESOLUTION recognizing the North
2 Judson-San Pierre High School football team for finishing
3 runner-up in the 2024 Indiana High School Athletic Association
4 Class 1A state championship.
5 Whereas, The North Judson-San Pierre High School
6 Bluejays finished their 2024 season with a record of 14-1;
7 Whereas, The 2024 state championship marks the football
8 program's fourth state final appearance, its first since 1986.
9 The Bluejays made it to the state championship in 1980 and
10 1984 as well;
11 Whereas, The Bluejays came into the final game with the top
12 scoring offense, averaging 54.1 points per game, the top
13 winning margin, beating their opponents by an average of 46.9
14 points per game, and the second best defense, allowing only 7.1

1 points per game;
2 Whereas, The team averaged 393 rushing yards per game
3 from their flexbone offense;
4 Whereas, Three players, Kole Wilcox, Brock Benson, and
5 quarterback Jesiah McDaniel, all eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards,
6 and the trio combined for 80 touchdowns on the season; and
7 Whereas, The North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays football
8 team had an impressive season, and they hope to come back
9 stronger than ever next season: Therefore,
10 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
11 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
12 SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
13 recognizes the North Judson-San Pierre football team for
14 finishing runner-up in the 2024 Indiana High School Athletic
15 Association Class 1A state championship.
16 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
17 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to State
18 Representative Kendell Culp for distribution.
