712 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
813 Section 1. (a) The state board of regents is hereby authorized and
914 empowered, for and on behalf of Kansas state university veterinary
10-medical center, to sell and convey all of the rights, title and interest
11-subject to all easements and appurtenances in the following described
12-real estate, located at 9706 Mockingbird Drive, Omaha, Douglas
13-county, Nebraska, and further described as:
14-A part of Lot 555, in Mockingbird Hills West, an addition to the
15-City of Omaha, as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County,
16-Nebraska, (sometimes referred to as Parcel 15A), being more
17-particularly described as follows:
18-Commencing at the Southeast property corner of Lot 555; thence
19-South 89°17'33" West (assumed bearing), on the South line of said Lot
20-555, (said line also being the Northerly right-of-way line of
21-Mockingbird Drive), a distance of 706.00 feet, to the Point of
22-Beginning; thence continuing along said South line of Lot 555, a
23-distance of 4.64 feet, to a point of curvature, thence Northwesterly
24-along a 932.78 foot radius curve to the right, an arc distance of 206.80
25-feet; thence North 00°42'27" West, a distance of 216.72 feet; thence
26-Nort 89°17'33" East, a distance of 209.75 feet; thence South 00°42'27"
27-East, a distance of 239.56 feet, to the point of beginning;

25+line also being the Northerly right-of-way line of Mockingbird Drive), a

3135 (b) Conveyance of such rights, title and interest in such real estate
3236 shall be executed in the name of the state board of regents by its
3337 chairperson and executive officer. All proceeds from the sale and
34-conveyance thereof shall be deposited in the restricted fees fund (368-
35-00-2590-5530) of Kansas state university veterinary medical center.

3676 (c) No conveyance of real estate authorized by this section shall be
3777 made or accepted by the state board of regents until the deeds, titles and
38-conveyances have been reviewed and approved by the attorney general.
39-In the event that the state board of regents determines that the legal
40-description of the real estate described in this section is incorrect, the
41-state board of regents may convey the property utilizing the correct
42-legal description, but the deed conveying the property shall be subject
43-to the approval of the attorney general. The conveyance authorized by
44-this section shall not be subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 75-6609,
45-and amendments thereto.
