| 10 | 10 | Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas: | |
| 11 | 11 | Section 1. The secretary of state shall enter into agreements with one | |
| 12 | 12 | or more credit rating agencies for the release of information held by such | |
| 13 | 13 | credit rating agency concerning residents of this state. Such information | |
| 14 | 14 | shall include, but is not limited to, names, addresses, phone numbers, | |
| 15 | 15 | social security numbers, dates of birth and alien registration numbers. The | |
| 16 | 16 | secretary shall use such information to verify the United States citizenship | |
| 17 | 17 | of persons who are registered to vote in this state. The secretary shall | |
| 18 | 18 | notify the appropriate county election officer of the names of any | |
| 19 | 19 | noncitizens who are registered to vote and direct such county election | |
| 20 | 20 | officer to remove such person from the voter registration rolls. The county | |
| 21 | 21 | election officer shall notify any person who is removed from the voter | |
| 22 | 22 | registration rolls that such person may be reinstated on the voter | |
| 23 | 23 | registration rolls by providing proof of such person's United States | |
| 24 | 24 | citizenship. | |
| 25 | 25 | Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its | |
| 26 | 26 | publication in the statute book. | |
