| 9 | 9 | Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas: | |
| 10 | 10 | Section 1. (a) There is hereby established in the state treasury the | |
| 11 | 11 | Kansas technical college operating grant fund, which shall be administered | |
| 12 | 12 | by the state board of regents. All expenditures from the Kansas technical | |
| 13 | 13 | college operating grant fund shall be for instruction and operations to meet | |
| 14 | 14 | target objectives established by the postsecondary technical education | |
| 15 | 15 | authority for each technical college's region and the entire state. All | |
| 16 | 16 | expenditures from the Kansas technical college operating grant fund shall | |
| 17 | 17 | be made in accordance with appropriation acts upon warrants of the | |
| 18 | 18 | director of accounts and reports issued pursuant to vouchers approved by | |
| 19 | 19 | the executive officer of the state board of regents or the executive officer's | |
| 20 | 20 | designee. | |
| 21 | 21 | (b) As used in this section, "technical college" means the same as | |
| 22 | 22 | defined in K.S.A. 71-1802, and amendments thereto, and the Washburn | |
| 23 | 23 | institute of technology | |
| 24 | 24 | Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its | |
| 25 | 25 | publication in the statute book. | |
