| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Kansas Army National Guard Best Warriors and |

| 11 | 11 | | the Kansas Air National Guard Airmen of the Year represent the most |

| 12 | 12 | | accomplished enlisted members of the Kansas National Guard; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Best Warrior Competition is designed to test all |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | aspects of a soldier through a four-day period in which both junior- |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | enlisted and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) compete for the title of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Best Warrior; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The competition includes expertise in soldier common |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | tasks, weapons proficiency, outstanding physical fitness and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | comprehensive military knowledge; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The Outstanding Airman of the Year competition is an |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | annual event in which Airmen, NCOs and Senior NCOs compete in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | various areas, including leadership, job performance in their primary |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | duties, the whole Airman concept and participation in the Wing and |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Specialist Joseph Minder was selected as the Best |

| 26 | 26 | | Warrior, Sergeant First Class Cody Breon as the Best Warrior NCO, |

| 27 | 27 | | Staff Sergeant Darian Leasher as the Airman of the Year, Technical |

| 28 | 28 | | Sergeant Rachel Pence as the Honor Guard Member of the Year and |

| 29 | 29 | | Master Sergeant Hunter "DIAL" Thurston as the Senior NCO of the |
