AN ACT relating to the Medicaid program. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 205 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) The Department for Medicaid Services shall administer the Medicaid program 5
under a fee-for-service model, Medicaid managed care model, or other Medicaid 6
delivery system model as permitted under federal law. 7
(2) A Medicaid managed care model shall not be administered by more than three (3) 8
managed care organizations. 9
(3) Nothing in this section shall prohibit the administration of the Medicaid program 10
under more than one (1) delivery system model. 11
Section 2. This Act shall become effective January 1, 2023. 12
