A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Reverend 1 
James Darrell Biram. 2 
WHEREAS, Reverend James Darrell Biram was a loyal servant to the citizens of 3 
Henderson County and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Reverend James Darrell Biram 4 
was a devoted pastor, teacher, mentor, and leader for over 60 years; and 5 
WHEREAS, Reverend James Darrell Biram was an ordained minister with the 6 
Assemblies of God and pastored in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kentucky. He was a 7 
graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 1969 and was the student 8 
speaker of his graduating class; and 9 
WHEREAS, Reverend James Darrell Biram came to Kentucky in 1969 where he 10 
pastored First Assembly of God in Henderson County for 19 years. While in Henderson 11 
County he founded the School of the Bible; and  12 
WHEREAS, throughout the years he served as Sectional Presbyter as well as 13 
General Presbyter for the Assemblies of God. In 1988, he was elected District 14 
Superintendent of the Kentucky Ministry Network, a position he held for 16 years. Rev. 15 
Biram also served on the Kentucky Teen Challenge board and the Board of Directors of 16 
Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri; and 17 
WHEREAS, through his leadership at Camp Crestwood in Oldham County, 18 
Reverend James Darrell Biram facilitated the construction of multiple buildings, 19 
including the Joseph Hardt Activity Center; and 20 
WHEREAS, Reverend James Darrell Biram is preceded in death by his parents, 21 
Victor and Violet Biram; and his sister, Evelyn Biram Tucker. He is survived by his 22 
loving wife of 66 years, Joan Johnson Biram; daughter, Cindy Biram Gilland (Mike); son, 23 
Darrell Biram (Kristi); seven grandchildren, Stephanie Gilland Jessee, David Gilland, 24 
Angela Gilland Spegal, Allison Gilland Myers, Brittany Biram, Trey Biram, and Chaili 25 
Biram; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb Jessee, Alec Jessee, Ella Jessee, Jude Gilland, 26 
Shephard Gilland, Joanna Gilland, Asher Gilland, Leon Spegal, and Abe Spegal; brother, 27  UNOFFICIAL COPY  	22 RS BR 2351

M.D. Biram (Joan); many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends; 1 
NOW, THEREFORE, 2 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 3 
Kentucky: 4 
Section 1. The Senate expresses its profound sympathy upon the passing of 5 
Reverend James Darrell Biram, and posthumously thanks him for his dedicated service 6 
and contributions to Henderson County and this Commonwealth. 7 
Section 2.  When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 8 
memory of Reverend James Darrell Biram. 9 
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 10 
Resolution to Senator Robby Mills for delivery to the family. 11
