AN ACT relating to the Bowling Green Veterans Center, making an appropriation 1
therefor, and declaring an emergency. 2
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 3
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated General Fund moneys in the amount of 4
$16,630,000 in fiscal year 2022-2023 from the Budget Reserve Trust Fund Account 5
(KRS 48.705) to the Kentucky Department of Veterans' Affairs for construction of the 6
Bowling Green Veterans Center. 7
Section 2. Whereas the veterans of this Commonwealth deserve the best 8
possible care, as near to their homes and families as is practicable, and whereas this bill 9
will advance that highly important public purpose in this time of urgent need, an 10
emergency is declared to exist, and this Act takes effect upon its passage and approval by 11
the Governor or upon its otherwise becoming a law. 12
