AN ACT relating to veterans' resources. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 337 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) The Department of Workplace Standards shall consult with the Kentucky 5
Department of Veterans' Affairs to create and distribute a veterans' benefits and 6
services poster. The poster, at a minimum, shall include contact information and 7
a description regarding the following resources for veterans: 8
(a) Kentucky Department of Veterans' Affairs; 9
(b) Substance abuse and mental health treatment; 10
(c) Education, workforce, and training; 11
(d) Tax benefits; 12
(e) Kentucky drivers' licenses and identification cards; 13
(f) Eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits under state and federal 14
law; 15
(g) Legal services; and 16
(h) United States Department of Veterans Affairs' Veterans Crisis Line. 17
(2) Every employer in the state with more than fifty (50) full-time employees shall 18
display the poster in a prominent position accessible to employees in the 19
employer's workplace. 20
(3) The Department of Workplace Standards shall promulgate administrative 21
regulations in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A to implement this section. 22
