A JOINT RESOLUTION authorizing the release of capital construction funds to 1
the Department of Parks for improvements to Kentucky State Parks. 2
WHEREAS, the General Assembly recognizes the need to secure the future of 3
Kentucky State Parks for generations to come; and 4
WHEREAS, 2022 Ky. Acts ch. 199 requires the Department of Parks' 5
comprehensive statewide proposal be approved by the General Assembly in order to 6
release the appropriated capital construction funds; and 7
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks submitted their comprehensive statewide 8
proposal to the Interim Joint Committee on Appropriations and Revenue; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 11
ď˘Section 1. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hereby 12
approves the Department of Parks' comprehensive statewide proposal dated December 1, 13
2022, and submitted to the Interim Joint Committee on Appropriations and Revenue. The 14
Office of State Budget Director is authorized to release the $150,000,000 in capital 15
construction funds for use by the Department of Parks in fiscal year 2024 as appropriated 16
by 2022 Ky. Acts ch. 199. 17
