AN ACT relating to building codes. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 198B IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
No provision of the Kentucky Building Code, or any other law or regulation in 5
Kentucky, shall prohibit or limit the use of a refrigerant designated as acceptable for 6
use pursuant to and in accordance with 42 U.S.C. sec. 7671k, provided any equipment 7
containing such refrigerant is listed and installed in accordance with safety standards 8
and use conditions imposed by federal law or rule for safe alternatives identified 9
pursuant to such designation under 42 U.S.C. sec. 7671k. 10
